  • Do you do discovery calls?

    No. If you are not a current client and have a quick question you can email from the contact page. Please do not email any personal health information through the contact page.

  • Do you accept insurance?

    No, but I can give you a SuperBill that you can submit to your insurance company. They may cover part of my fee under the “Out of Network” portion of your plan

  • Will my labs be covered by my insurance?

    Yes, as your insurance policy allows. Labs are ordered through Quest.  When I order from other labs like L&M I consistently have problems with tests not being performed or them not receiving the orders. It becomes a frustrating process for both of us when this happens.

  • Will the hormones be covered by my insurance?

    For women, insurance usually covers estrogen and progesterone, not necessarily the full price though. Should you decide to use testosterone this will be sent to a compounding pharmacy and insurance will not cover it. For men, testosterone is usually covered by insurance.

  • Do you offer after hours or urgent/emergency care?

    No. Messages sent through patient portal or contact page will be answered within 72 business hours. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911, or proceed to your nearest emergency room. 

  • Do you offer primary care services?

    No. You must maintain a PCP for preventative care (prostate exams, mammograms, bone density etc,) and GYN (women) for gynecological exams/PAP smears/pelvic exams etc. For men, depending on your symptoms, I may require that you see a urologist.

  • How often will I need to be seen?

    Our plan of care will be discussed and mutually agreed upon . Frequency will depend on your individual needs and responses to the hormone therapy. Visits frequency tends to be every 1-2 months in the beginning, then usually every 6 months once stable.
